FREE SALs

“Dreams of Compassion” FREE SAL – Welcome!!

Today we are ecstatic to launch our very first cross stitch SAL! It’s entitled, “Dreams of Compassion” and today’s first pattern installment is the first release of a nine-part stitch-a-long that will continue through the rest of the year. On the first of every month, a new section of the pattern will be released, made available to everyone who’d like to participate in the SAL.

We now have a Facebook group for all things relating to the designs of Little Isola Stitchworks, and especially for our community of stitching friends who’d like to share their progress on the SAL and other LIS patterns. Don’t forget to join us in the fun, as well as to stay updated on new pattern releases. (There will be freebies!)

Additionally, you can email your progress photos to littleisolaabbate@gmail.com if you’d like to have your photos featured here on the blog. Just be sure to include your name and location.

Withought further adieu, download your FREE copy of the first installment of the “Dreams of Compassion” SAL here.

Happy stitching and see you on the socials!

Sincerely,

Stacey from Little Isola Stitchworks

    1. It depends on the guage of your fabric and type. Linen vs Aida, 14ct vs a higher (tighter weave) count etc. The piece measures 155 stitches x 155 stitches. And then, you’ll need to do the math based on your fabric weave count. I’d be happy to help as soon as you know which count you’ll be working with. I use a 28 count linen and work 2 strands of floss over 2 squares (stitch spaces) in the fabric. That puts it at a 14 count stitch size project, meaning 14 stitches per inch. I take 155 stitches (as per the project dimensions), divide by 14, and I have a little over 11 inches. I always add 3″ borders of extra fabric on all sides of the design for framing. That brings me up to 17″. So I cut my fabric at 17″ x 17″. Hope this helps. Please feel free to email me if you have any additional questions.
